The fisherman and the fish

Once again, the fisherman is practicing his speech. One word after another, he tries to articulate the words correctly while looking at his reflection in the peaceful water. It's been 5 hours now, he has been at the lake since the morning, and it doesn't seem like he's going to leave the place.
A fish has been listening to him all this time; he sees how the man gets frustrated every time he makes a mistake in his speech, and the fish laughs every time. The fisherman sees this and asks the fish to tell him what he finds so funny. Then, the fish says “Seeing you is funny, there you are, practicing and practicing your speech like every single day.” The fisherman responds “I need to practice, I have problems with my diction” and  “I don’t want people to think that I’m not capable of speaking well.” Why would people think that?” asks the fish. “Because every time I try to speak, I always make mistakes, I repeat words, I don’t pronounce the words correctly, I don’t say the words I want to say and I start saying hmm, ahh, ” says the fisherman with a worried look on his face. The fisherman continues “I have no problem if I spend hours in the lake, I am a fisherman, it is normal that I spend some time in the water fishing.” The fish laughs again “But you are not fishing, my friend,” he says. Then, the fisherman looks at his fishing rod and bucket next to him, his bucket is empty like every day. “That's none of your business” “Just worry about swimming.”You are right, I will drown if I don’t practice my swimming,” says the fish with a mocking face. The fisherman rolls his eyes, takes his fishing rod and says “You know, you don’t know about the world, people out there are waiting for you to make a mistake so that they can make fun of you, laugh at you and talk about you when you’re not around, they are mean.” The fish looks at the fisherman carefully then he says “People are mean, or are you just mean to yourself?” "In all this time you have been talking to me, I have not heard a single mistake in your speech, do you know why? Because you’re not worrying about your words, about how you sound, how you look; you are not thinking about how other people are looking at you or perceiving you, since you are talking to a fish, not to a person.” The fisherman looks at his reflection in the water; he notices for the first time the small mole near his left eyebrow, his beautiful brown eyes are shining. Then, the fisherman smiles as he realizes that every time he came to the lake to practice his speech he was always looking at his reflection in the smooth and crystal clear water. Take care,

My experience in the Storytelling

“ The show will start in five minutes,” I said while laughing and putting up the decorations to create the setting for a part of the story...
